Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is based on the philosophical concept that the universe is made of an energy called qi. This energy can be any state of matter or energy in existence. TCM believes that the body is a small universe unto itself that is a complex of subsystems of energy and matter, and that these systems work together to maintain a healthy mind and body.

Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is part of a larger healing system called Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is one of the great herbal systems of the world, with an unbroken tradition going back to the 3rd century BC. Yet throughout its history, it has continually developed in response to changing clinical conditions and has been sustained by research into every aspect of its use. It is important to consult a clinically trained herbal medicine practitioner before taking herbal medicine.
The herbal medicine practitioner must take many factors into account when recommending herbs, including the health condition of the patient and the underlying causes of symptoms to ensure you are prescribed the correct herbal formula, right dosage, and only herbs that do not adversely interact with other medications.
Chinese Herbal medicine consultation consists of taking a case history, inquiring about the person’s health condition and wellbeing. It may include a physical examination, inspection of the eye and the tongue, palpating and percussing different parts of the body, the reading of the pulse.
Often, a combination of herbs may be used together because the combination is more effective and may have fewer side effects.
Recommendation and advice may also be given about diet and exercises if changes to your lifestyle are recommended.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used systems of healing in the world. Originating in China some 3,500 years ago. Traditional Chinese medicine holds that there are as many as 2,000 acupuncture points on the human body, which are connected by 20 pathways (12 main, 8 secondary) called meridians. These meridians conduct energy, or qi (pronounced “chi”), between the surface of the body and its internal organs. Each point has a different effect on the qi that passes through it. Qi is believed to help regulate balance in the body. It is influenced by the opposing forces of yin and yang, which represent positive and negative energy and forces in the universe and the human body. Acupuncture is believed to keep the balance between yin and yang, thus allowing for the normal flow of qi throughout the body, restoring health to the mind and body, and spirit.

Cosmetic Acupuncture
This ancient Chinese practice has been used for centuries to restore balance and youthful vitality increasing moisture and hydration to aging skin.
At Rosanna Traditional medicine centre you can benefit from cosmetic acupuncture from our experienced practitioners. Cosmetic acupuncture gradually increases tone and firmness to skin to soften lines, wrinkles and brighten skin tone. With little or no downtime facial contours are improved with promoting the production of collagen and removing any blockages and stagnation.
In addition, people that suffer from problem skin such as acne, dryness, eczema and rosacea can also expect their skin problems to be greatly reduced, if not eliminated completely.
Hair Analysis
A Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is a screening test that measures the mineral content of your hair. Mineral content of the hair reflects the mineral content of the body tissue. If a mineral deficiency or excess exists in the hair, it usually indicates a mineral deficiency or excess within the body, or bio-unavailability.
If you are experiencing a severe problem, abnormal changes in body chemistry and nutritional deficiencies may result in early, subtle changes in the body such as:
White spots on the nails indicating a possible zinc deficiency
Longitudinal Ridging in the nails indicating an iron efficiency
Brittle hair and nails calcium and copper imbalance
Deep grooves across the nails calcium deficiency
Stretch marks zinc deficiency
Lack of growth zinc deficiency
