In seeking answers you will always find the truth -

In seeking answers and methods to heal myself, I delved into the world of Chinese medicine. What began as a personal exploration transformed into an awakening. I never intended to practice professionally; my studies were intended purely for my own healing and to prepare for a future family. However, from my very first day of learning, it felt as though I had opened Pandora’s box. I discovered that the pain I had endured for so long was not normal, and through TCM, I found relief from anguish, healed inflammation, and became pregnant naturally. Simultaneously, I began to understand the importance of emotions and knowledge in maintaining health, which inspired me to develop the “5 Pillars of Health”—a free online health program dedicated to fostering emotional resilience and metabolic wellness.

Welcome to my journey

My path shaped not just by curiosity, but by a deeply personal need for healing and understanding. My passion for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) ignited quite accidentally, born from a blend of my own health struggles, a thirst for knowledge about the philosophy of health, and the frustration with the limitations of conventional Western medicine.

After battling severe endometriosis, debilitating period pain, PCOS, fibrocystic breast lumps all before the age of 18 and the emotional scars from childhood trauma, I found myself faced with a cascade of health challenges that left me disillusioned. Western medicine offered me quick solutions, like pain control through medication, operations, but none that addressed the underlying causes of my ailments. This led to a difficult journey in conceiving, mood swings, burnout, metabolic syndrome, and the distress of feeling unheard.

Passing down the treasured knowledge

My journey has been deeply enriched by the privilege of studying for a decade under Professor Wong, a distinguished professor of Traditional Chinese medicine, Daoist philosopher and 10th Dan martial artist. My time with him has profoundly shaped my values and teachings, and his belief that 85% of our diseases stem from our emotional state resonates deeply with me.

Professor Wong instilled in us the importance of immersion in our studies. We observed and treated patients in the clinic during the week, immersed ourselves in TCM classes at night, practiced martial arts on weekends,  explored the Dao on Sunday mornings and conversed over herbal teas on Sunday afternoons whilst preparing the herbal formulas for the week. He taught me that to truly treat someone, it’s crucial to understand not just the physiological part of their health but also their mind and how their body moves; this is the essence of successful treatment with herbs and acupuncture.

Metabolic disorders

In witnessing health patterns in my own family and among patients in my clinic, I recognised a concerning trend: the prevalence of metabolic conditions intertwined with emotional distress. It became abundantly clear that the physiological and psychological aspects of our well-being must operate in harmony to promote clarity, discipline, and consistency in life. Neglecting these root causes leads to chronic conditions—ranging from inflammation to diseases typically associated with aging—and regrettably, we are seeing these issues manifest in younger generations.

Now more than ever, it is essential to pause and empower ourselves with knowledge, thus crafting our own destinies. It’s about learning to break negative feedback loops and seeking a healthier future.

Break free from cycles that hinder our happiness.

As I strive to share the knowledge I’ve gained, I remain committed to educating others about the importance of health, encouraging individuals to take charge of their well-being. Together, we can cultivate a healthier future for ourselves and the generations to come. Join me in this vital pursuit—let’s prioritise health, embrace knowledge, and break free from cycles that hinder our happiness.

The Fertile Land of Our Bodies

Your body is the fertile land in which you grow your visions and harvest your dreams. You are born an empty vessel, and into this vessel, you pour all your hopes, imaginations, fears, triumphs, and failures. If you do not learn to find meaning in your fears and failures and gratitude in your triumphs and dreams, then your imagination will cease to exist. You will not live in the determination of your imaginations coming to life but rather in the chains of your fears and failures, holding you back, causing your body to slowly erode.
